2g piston brand matter?

I want to order some 2g pisions and there are 3 different brands. I can get oem pistons, npr, or itm. All are new from vendor I am more or less assuming there all the same and I am going to throw them on 6 bolt rods so any piston advice let me know thanks.

The NPR (Nippon) are the closest to stock you can find. Nippon is rumored to have produced the original 2g pistons, so they would be OE quality if not better. Just make sure to avoid any knock-offs like "NRP" or "Nippin".

Hold up maybe I miss read but you just said nrp are like oem if not better. But then you say be careful of knock offs like nrp? Oh wait I get it now. Keep an eye on the classifieds on here, I have seen them go for cheaper than that. Also if you are doing a build why not spend a little more money and get something aftermarket jic, wiseco, mahle, etc.

I think you did misread. Wes said look for "NPR", and avoid "NRP" The order of the R and P matter!

Yes, that's exactly what I meant. I should have been more clear. You want to be sure the pistons are NPR as in Nippon Piston Ring. I've seen quite a few companies try to float business by using names such as Nippon Racing, NRP, Nippin, etc.
