2g NO BRAKE LIGHTS!!! NOT THE FUSE OR SWITCH

found out my brake lights weren't working. checked the switch, plugged in, checked the fuse... blown. Put a new fuse in, blew immediately. disconnected brake switch and took out 3rd brake light bulb, popped another fuse, right away.

reading the schematic for the brakes, don't really understand. AND i can't find the fuse for the cruise control system.

any body got any ideas on whats shorted?

Do you have an aftermarket stereo installed? I had a wire i believe it was orange that was grounding out and blowing the fuse. It will take out your guage cluster lights also. It took me a few days to figure it out, its the wire for the factory dimmer on the radio that is not used on most stereos.

mind were doing this took....... take all the bulbs out look at the buttom of them "were the 2 metal pieces are" Make sure there isn't any corrorsion on there. If there is just get a wire brush and brush away...
