Still a newbie to my 98 Rs beater. Where is the proper location to tap for my boost gauge? (Going turbo this spring).

Your vacuum sources are located on the back of your upper intake manifold. There should be 3 vacuum ports. You can simply tee off one of them for your boost/vacuum gauge.

No offense, but if you don't know how to hook up a boost gauge, I would hold off on trying to put a turbo kit on your car. Do a lot of reading before you start getting parts and installing them.

Dude I'm a 1g Tsi Awd guy. This 420a motor is all new to me. I'm not putting the kit on either, my buddy did a Neon with this same kit (also 420a).

So now that I am a "420" guy also, whats so great about these motors anyways?

Mike still has a point. A boost gauge installation is a very simple task. It's the same on every engine, the manifold is what is always tapped. Since it provides positive and negative pressure. As long as the tap seals and doesn't leak it doesn't matter what line you tap.
