2g Lower ball joint control arm failure? Where and how PICS?

Does all 4 lower ball joints fail? Or is it just the inner 2 lower ones?

Pics and post your experience.

I only ask cause on my driver side my ball joint moves inside the arm up and down a good 1/2 inch. And as anyone know a ball joint is not supposed to do that.

I did one on my 97, just the one show in this video. Was pretty easy with haynes and other diagrams found online.

YouTube - Ball Joint Recall 2G Eclipse, Talon

Yep mine is not that bad only about half of the movement there.

I just dont wanna get to the legal terms of it if they deny my claim since it is a NHTSA issue recall, and it does state it is a lifetime recall (i am correct it is a life time recall)

Because my driver side is toast and is now making a popping sound. and my pass side is on its way out.

So it normally has up and down movement when it's on it's way out? Interesting I'll have to check mine tomorrow. Some times when making a right hand turn over a small bump I hear a noise. I know I have some slight movement in and out when I have my hands at 3 and 9 and pusin in on the sidewall of the tire. I think than might be a tie rod problem though? Out of all the things, suspension confuses me the most LOL
