after i rebuilt the motor in my 2g eclipse gst and put a 50 trim t3/t4 turbo on it. it ran fine and i could get on it amd it do fine but oneday i got on it and when it hit 3 grand it started to hesitate and the turbo guage on the dash WTF i guess it a boost guage ....? it all the way to the plus sign . it has a bov but it open atmospher . someone told me its because i dont have a boost controler is this why? what do u think????
MY BAD LOL

Yes that is a boost gauge, but it isnt a very accurate one. youll need an aftermarket boost gauge, also dont vent your bov to atomosphere. its dumb and bad for your car unless your running speed density or something. You should get a boost controller as well, but it seems like you have other problems as well, what injectors do you have? any type of tuning? what about fuel system? You cany just put a bigger turbo on and expect everything to work great. Other people on here might be able to help you more but we are all gonna need alot more details about your setup.

Hahahah i didnt even catch that.good call. JDM 50trim sounds sweet though.LOL

yea runnin stock fuel system and no not really . idk it just makes me think y it started it because when i rebuilt it and broke it in then i got on it it didnt do it but out of the blue it started doing it.

You just answered your own question. You were breaking in the motor. now its broken in and if you dont do some supporting mods soon, your gonna be doing another rebuild. get a t25 for 50bucks and put it on there until you can get the other mods.and start with tuning first....you now know why.

it has stock fuel system and no tunning and 1g coils , stock intercooler (sidemount) has a cold air intake ,

You really need to upgrade your fuel system before you slap on a bigger turbo. But since you already have the turbo I would stay outta boost until you upgrade. Fuel injectors at least 650s and up(for that turbo), a fuel pump and a tuning device. You are probably running lean as hell, knocking like crazy and the ECU is pulling timing like none other.

This is a bad recipe for a disaster. Upgrading to a 50 trim with no tuning agent is a bad idea. Not recirculating is also bad. you also need to do a boost leak test to see if you have any boost leaks.

You got to get some sort of tuning agent asap and i would not cheap out on this. If you can't get a tuning agent i would recommend switching back to stock from further damages.

If not get a manual boost controller and set it to stock boost. And then recirculate your bov.
