Resolved 2G headlight removal trouble

I have searched but have not found an answer all my searching is talking about the bolt under the headlight which I have removed and is not the problem.

I have the 3 bolts out and for some reason the headlight wont come free on the fender side. is there a trick to get the headlight out? I have tried everything and it just wont come free I don't want to pull to hard for fear of breaking something.

also does anyone know off the top of their head what the thread size is on the bolt for the top of the headlight unfortunately when I tried to loosen the bolt the head snapped off due to rust so I'm gonna need to drill and tap it out

Just the headlight itself or the whole bucket with track? The headlight should only be 2 long screws an a spring, maybe 2 springs and the wire

sorry I should have said this .... this is for a 97 gsx

I figured it out.... it was the harness plug for the headlight that was holding it on

I had all the bolts it was the plug that was catching on the bumper

Does the bumper cover have to be removed/loosened? I'm trying to figure out passenger-side headlight removal on 99 GS. The top bolt is the easiest and most obvious. What to do from there?

It’s best to remove the bumper but not required I suppose. This thread has been dead for years.

Resolved. Had to go in through the fender well to access other bolts. Such a Pita just to change out a headlight.
