2g head on 6 bolt block

I'm putting a 2g head on a 1 g block what size does the head need to be drilled out to fit the block and what else is needed to make this work????

So I only need the head drilled out 1mm to fit the head studs properly???

Dont forget you will need a 2g water pipe with the 2g head on the 6bolt block.

Not necessarily.

Although the 2G thermostat housing can only be used on a 2G head, the 1G thermostat housing can be used on both the 1G and 2G head. You use the water pipe that matches the thermostat housing.

alright so i have a 1g block and im looking to get a 2g head because it was cheaper to get one off craigslist then to get valves done....sooo if i get the 2g head im going to have to drill out the bolt holes 1mm and i can use my thermostat housing and i can use the water pipe for mine?? if so then this is just drill the holes and bolt on and im good?

Just drill the head bolt holes with a 1/2 drill bit. Make sure to clean all the shaving out of the head.

alright so do that and i can put it in using the head bolts i took out and everything will hook up...sorry im new to dsm's just bought it dont have enough money to miss understand what your sayin and have to do it twice

Yes, you will get to reuse the stock head bolts you took out and everything will hook up.
