Is it possible its the coilovers? Its called coil bind. Happened to me. I had to remove them and dissassemble the. I cleaned everything up and greased everything and been fine since. Its something to look into. Next time your dad is turning the wheel, watch the coils and see if they move and cause the noise. Took me a little to find out what it was but you should be able to see and hear the coils binding.

Yes my struts do move but my dad said that it's normal the hole shock part moves with the wheel a bit when the wheel turns is that normal ?

Alright well if it's coil bind I'll take apart my struts clean them and oil them . Most of the time it is when my car is going into my parking lot to take a tight turn going slow and I here it or going down my ally I can hear a clunking or mettle to mettle sound and I can feel as if something needs oil it feels as if it sticks then moves my strut moves with my wheel I never looked at the top part to see if that moves but at higher speeds it's not there .

The springs will turn some when turning the wheel but if theres a bunch of dirt inbetween bushings then it will catch and rub. Mine made a clunking sound when i turned going slow or real sharp and over bumps. I know these are a different brand but its what I have and how i found out my problem. Read it over and see if it helps.

On a 2g the the front strut is stationary when turning the wheel. It is connected to the lower control arm. On a 1g it is connected to the spindle, and it what the steering pivots on. On a 2g it has an upper control arm and upper ball joint. I would check all the ball joints, inner and outer tie rods, control arm bushings on the top and bottom. Also make sure that the bolts on lower curved arm are tight in the subframe.

Well when I turn my wheel when it is jacked up my strut from the wheel will turn with my hole front end I don't know if it is normal to do that as dsm kid said I might have coil bind[DOUBLEPOST=1411949592][/DOUBLEPOST]When I turn my wheel my top part of the strut does not turn tho everything under my car is as tight as I can get it also.

On a 2g the strut shouldn't turn at all as it is attached to the lower control arm. It will move a little bit as the control arm flexes, but not turn.
