I recently picked up my 97 eclipse gs. The car has an aftermarket stereo and the moron before me cut the factory connector off instead of getting an adapter to put in an aftermarket stereo. I was tracing down a dash light issue (whole other problem) when I came across what looks like an aftermarket alarm or may be the factory anti-theft.....either way I pushed the tiny black reset button that was hanging from it and now my car will not not crank, and theres a clicking sound from a relay on the fuse panel which i'm guessing is the starter relay. Everything else works fine it just won't do anything when I go from the on position to the crank position.
Things I have done:
1. New battery and terminals (all connections are tight)
2. Disconnected the clutch safety switch
ANY help would be appreciated as I have been racking my brain over this.
