:banghead: Ive been through all the forums trying to figure out this stupid code. Ive read it could be caused by everything from a boost leak, to the actual fuel pressure solenoid itself, or even front o2 sensor.

I tried to bypass the solenoid by running the hose from the FPR to the intake directly, disconnected the battery to clear the code, but then it still came back. Does this mean that it isnt my FPS causing the problem?

Also, my car does smell like gas on startup, not sure if its related but would like to hear your input! Thanks guys

I would try another solenoid to see if it fixes it. Any locals around to just un bolt theirs and plug it into your harness?

It doesn't need to be hooked up elsewhere, just plugged in to the harness and it will keep it from popping a code if it's good and not the issue.

when i installed my MBC i unhooked it and thought i threw it away and my CEL kept going off every other day or so, thought i threw the damn thing away but turns out it was still mounted so i just plugged it in and that fixed that problem

You could just hook up one of the other solenoids. Check to see if the plug fits first and if not you can splice it in using test leads. Be aware of wire polarities before hooking them up.

Alright i'll try to get ahold of one. One last thing, would this have anything to do with my car smelling like gas on startup? Could the bad solenoid be tricking the car to dump too much gas or something?

Your fuel trims are mainly derived by the front o2 sensor. Air leaks will also be a factor as well as a faulty MAF.

drive it for about 100 miles after clearing the CEL to make sure it doesn't come back.

Yeah i will and report back for the final time. But usually when i had the code it would come back on the second start of the engine. Been started like 7 times now and no CEL. I probably did resolve it too soon but i was too excited to see the light not come on xD
