2G AWD front brakes on a 1G?

I friend of mine upgraded the braking system on his 2G GSX and he gave me his front dual piston calipers and mounting brackets.

Can these be used on a 1G? I know you can use 93~94 1G dual piston calipers and brackets but what about 2G ones? Are they the same? They look like they would fit but I'm wondering about the brake lines, thread pitches and what not.

The brake lines are the only issue I know of. If the calipers you got used the banjo fittings at the caliper you'll need special brake lines. Road Race at one time sold stainless lines for that use.

Well let me ask you another question. Are the mounting brackets on the 93~94 dual piston calipers the same as the 2G ones?

For example what if I went to say Advance Autoparts, bought some reman'ed 93~94 calipers and then uses these 2G mounting brackets to install them? Would it work?

I could then use the 2G's for my core. They wouldnt know the diffrence. Hell they ####ed me recently so I sure wouldn't feel bad or think twice about it.

I figure this would be cheaper in the end and I wouldnt have to buy new lines then.
