I just needed to know what a good turbosystem for a N/A 2G Eclipse 420A was.
I've read up on the Star Stage 2 and the Hahn Stage 2.
Does anyone know which is the best way to go?

Any info is greatly appreciated..:dsm:

I know that this is not what you are looking for but if you search you will find this every time. With the money you will spend on a turbo kit, it would be better to take that money, sell your RS and buy a GST or GSX. Then not only is it turbo but meant to handle that turbo and has way more potential.

I don't have either of the kits. I built a custom setup. This requires a little more knowledge then adding a boost controller and thinking I'm fast. But kits are the easiest way to get boosted, and you could do it yourself with basic mechanic knowledge, the 2 kits have differences. The Hahn comes with a 14b which I run on my car. With Hahn's kit with an intercooler you well run in the 14's because the 14b is a smaller turbo there for it spools faster. Then the star kit with comes with a t3/t4 hybrid. With the star kit turboed and intercooled u well run in the 15's because it takes longer to spool. Then the 14b. So it takes longer to get to the 7 psi which is the approx max boost lvl for a stock internal 420a. But if you plan to go farther. And build the 420a's bottom end with forge internals and lower the comp ratio the 420a can handle up to 15 psi of boost. :rocks: If you get to this point you well want to have the t3/t4 because it well flow more air then the 14b. So it's really up to you, and what you lookin:dsm:

I would agree with "rs-t eclipse". I've heard a lot of good things and recommendations with Hahn's turbo kits. It would be a lot cheaper to build your own setup as well, but like "rs-t eclipse" said, you will need to have quite a bit of knowledge yourself.

Your an inspiration. If you had the money for a kit would you still try and build a custom setup? Yeah I had planned on getting JE pistons and I'm not sure about the rods. What's a good brand to go with on those. And since I am beefing the internals up you think the Star is the choice?

If I had the money to buy a kit I would of still built my own kit. Manly because you have more options to choose from. Like running an external wastegate, you can either vent it or recalculate which don't come on either kits. Also I don't like one side, in/out intercoolers that that come on Star and Hahn only comes with a side mount :toobad: . But if your going to beef up the internals I would go with stars kit because it would supply more cfm's @ 15 lbs of boost with the t3/t4.:rocks: I wouldn't just do pistons. I would also do the rods. Eagle makes some good rods you can get some for about $300. :thumb: I would hate to see you post a forum about how one of your stock rods went threw the oil pan.:( . Theres also other places to buy kits. I don't know of anyone that has bought one from http://www.conceptillusions.combut I have bought many other parts from them and have been satisfied. There Kit Includes:57 Trim T3 Garrett Turbocharger, Cast Turbo Manifold, Greddy Type RS BOV, Stainless steel down pipe, Race FMIC (24" long, 12" high and 3.5" wide), Stainless steel intercooler piping, Tial 38mm Wastegate w/ gaskets :rocks: , Stainless Oil Feed and Return Lines,All couplers with T bolt Clamps, Walbro 255l Fuel Pump, FMU 12:1 This would also be a good kit to take a look at, there the same price.

rock on man, i think you will have alot of fun no matter witch way you chose either building your own or buying a kit. me personally i am going to build my own, from the many posts i have read it seems some of the parts in the kits you buy you may end up replacing with better ones anyways. I also read alot of negative posts regarding this stating to just sell you RS & buy a GST or a GSX, well my thouhgt is it is getting so repetative when some one askes advice on what turbo to buy he gets the responce of sell your car. thanks that was helpfull. how about we all buy the same car with the same mods & all wear the same cloths here. he didnt ask if he should sell it. double check if you want to. i am sorry but that responce is not helpful in anyway, YES we all know it the pros & cons of turboing a NT car thanks to 30 million of the same replys ( sell your car ). the man want to turbo his car. CHEERS to you pal. #1 i think turbo ing a NT is more impressive than just writing a check for one.
PEACE & GOOD LUCK

hahn makes a good kit. if you want to turbo your n/t then go for it theres many people that dont beleive in wasting the time or money, but it all depends on what you think.
