2g 6bolt swap coil pack?

I've gotten mixed answers about this so I am still unsure. I have a 2g with a 6 blot swap. The coil pack I have in the car needs replaced, but I cant tell if its a 2g coil pack or a 1g. I have a 1g one sitting around. I haven't put it on yet because I'm putting on a new intake mani, just want to make sure its fine to use it.

well hook it up and try. just make sure that you have the plugs set for the right wires. if it isnt the right one, the car just wont fire at the right time, yes its not good for your motor but its not going to do serious damage, just be cautious

Either one is fine, you just have to have the correct plug on it.

Take a multimeter to it to test it. Stick both leads in coils 1&4 and 2&3 and make sure the leads are touching the metal all the way in the back of the coil. Measure resistance between both coils @~30kohms. If they are not to spec, it is not good to use.

I have 2g spark plug wires. So will those not work with the coil pack?

yes, your spark plug wires will work.

Are we talking about the 3 pin plug that has to be the same?

yes. I don't remember if the triangle harness plug is the same across the years, but that will need to match since the spark plug wires are universal.
