I recently bought a 99 gst that I am wanting to switch evwrything over i have researched the ecu swap and all im seeing is I have to run some wires for knock sensor, boost solenoid, etc.
However looking at pinouts i am noticing that certain pins are power on 2g turbo ecu and grounds on 4g64 ecu..... can someone clarify this? Do I need to switch those around as well?
Or does anyone have a writeup for a 99 2G turbo ecu in 97 spyder gs?
 
Is that even going to be possible? No probably not. Completely different engines with different fuel maps. Your options would be portfueler or megasquirt. If you could do an ECU swap like that(what you are trying to do) then Mega squirt would not be such a popular option and there would be many write ups.
 
No 420a at all.
My car is a 97 spyder gs with a 4g64 in it right now, the 99 gst I bought was wrecked in the rear but has a fresh built 6bolt 4g63t swap in it.
I am wanting to take the 4g63t 6 bolt and put it in my car, i have the wiring diagrams for the iac, the cas, and fuel pump re wire.
I also have the pinouts for a 2g and 97 gs ecu. Everything I have read on says I just have to worry about the knock sensor, bps, and fps wires.
My concern is as i have highlighted in the attached pics are the grounds and hots are different between the two.

I have contemplated that, however the previous owners of the 99gst have chopped the wiring up under the dash, something about a resistor for the map sensor and some other deals they tried to do to get the 1g swap to run it looks crappy as hell no solder just wires twisted and taped
 
I should also add here that my 97 gs spyder has the 4g64/4g63 n/a hybrid swap already done i drilled and tapped my intake for the map, I also did the injector and fuel pump mod, the crank sensor elim mod, and am running the race vacumn setup on it as well. So besides running the knock sensor wire and preforming the iac rewire mod it will be a drop in
