2DIN to 1DIN radio. What do I need?

I have a 1G talon with a factory 2DIN radio/equalizer. It does not work at all, clock works but no sound of any kind. Anyways I want to put in a simple CD player that will be single DIN size. I never have much luck with the cheapo trim kits from wal-mart. Are there any trim parts or brackets I need to make the single DIN size fit good and look normal?

There was a factory insert MB522082 and bezel MB522080 used on the 1.8L cars. Mitsubishi Graveyard might be able to find you them.

Here is one it is listed as a 2g.
I'm about 99 percent sure, it will work on a 1g too.
Some one correct me if I'm wrong.

That might work depending on if the holes match up with the radio bracket. The 1G pocket attaches to the Bezel not the mounting bracket.
