hey folks, i have 2 piston calipers on my 1992 talon tsi awd. they came on the car when i bought it, i was wondering when i call the shop do i tell them i need rotors for 1992 talon awd? or do i need different rotors?

I'd assume you'd have a different sized caliper, so yes you would need a different sized rotor. Let's say they are 95-99 Eclipse GSX brakes or a AWD TSI 95-98 you'd just buy rotors for those years.

Since you have a 92 talon it is very likely that your car came with the "big brake" upgrade, 2 piston calipers and 275mm rotors. Previous years came with single piston calipers and 265mm rotors.

When you order rotors for your vehicle, any front rotor from 92.5-99 AWD will work for you front rotors, they all have 275 rotors. Make sure you order for AWD, FWD have different calipers.
 
Stick with 93-94 1Gb AWD rotors. They came with the 2 piston calipers like the 2G. I'm not sure if the 2G rotor offset is identical to the 1G.
