2 more engines with crankwalk

I bet a good portion of the people that claim their car has crankwalked was actually something else was the cause of the problem.

Yeah most of the supposed "crankwalk" cases are probably just spun bearings. Are you sure it was crankwalk? Did you measure the actual play in the crankshaft yourself?

heck yeah, everyone and their mother thinks they have crankwalk when their motor goes... usually due to bad maintenance.

if i happened once why didnt you put a 6 bolt in it (which you may have done)

but seriously if it happens once do somethign different the next time

1 of two things happened.

the mechanic F-ed up the rebuild

OR

you rebuilt an engine that was already crank walked and expected it to last

I've had 3 '95 4g63t's with no crankwalk yet........

My current '95 gs-t is at the 100k mark and still pulling 13's in the 1/4. ( 16g setup @ 5200 above sea level).

A bad mechanic or schister engine salesman will always point to a "common" problem to blame for the motor they sold you.
