how big of a project would this be to build and stroke a 2.4L 64 6bolt block to a 2.7L w a 7bolt head (estimates would be nice LOL

AND

what is the BIGGEST turbo this size 4g63 would spool... im looking for near supra power...

well, i recall (after searching) that boring out a block that much would be too much than recommended, due to cylinder wall thickness (being too little at that size). so you might want to search a little bit, and you are asking for estimates, well i have not heard of any vendor that actually does this service....if you know of one, please tell.

I am more than a little interested as to how you plan on turning a 2.4L motor into a 2.7L...

i buddy of mine a while back actually built a 2.7L stroked g4cs or whatever that hyndia block is. He was building an automatic 2g drag car but due to lack of funds and being layed off, the project came to a hault. :( If i can get in touch with him, i'll have him look at this thread.

Why would you need to build something like that when you can just build a 2.3l stroker with 9.0:1 compression and a GT45r and of course supporting mods and make 900hp

to be the first? to be different so everyone will copy your anonymous ass and you can brag about it to everyone and 3 people will believe you?

becasue you coulda had a v8 and you care more about spening maximum dollars than actaully having a working car? AKA tuners?

I think you should try to find a 4G54 (G54B) engine out of a forklift or a Sigma. It is orginally a 2.6L so maybe then you can bore it out to like 2.8 or 2.9 or something like that. Maybe since it is a 4G engine you can get your 2G head to fit it. Then you sort yourself with a Thumper or T-100 and start breaking fools off left and right. OMG

Okay, so I'm being facetious about the turbos. A GT35R or one of the new GT40's would be fine, for "near Supra levels" I guess. What exactly does that mean? But definitely look into the engine block.

AUTOLAB

Billy at AutoLab will be doing it.

I am looking for LOADS of low end and massive spooling power!

maybe a 2.6 would be a better idea? :thumb:

Attack eagle i have been there and done that!!!! I had an idea for a bolt in 60-1 turbo 5 years ago. I had to talk the owner of pte in to making it. It took me 3 months to get him to do it. I sent a 14b housing to PTE. I have not made a dime on that idea and now they are making millions.

If your going to do it....
do it
then shut up. or you will lose it all.

The #1 theft in the world is the theft of ideas.
:shhh:

Well Crower makes 4g63 cranks up to 102mm stroke length. Or you could have Scat make a custom billet crank. I've heard they can go up to 108mm stroke length, but I would call them and confirm that.

You'da done it already if you were serious I think...its pretty unfeisable. What kind of supras are you hoping to run? And are they interested in running you? Any of the guys with 600+ hp tend to be pretty reserved to street racing from what I can see, breaking traction at 70mph on the freeway IS NOT fun..plus they are garage queens anyway...so that throws out the 4-5 freak supras. Your left with the max 450hp BPU supras out there...probably not running anything more than 93 octane and the stock twins hate boost so they probably have 350-390 (My 93.5 auto has 360 day to day). There will be faster cars on the prowl like lambos but they will be reserved about racing too 99% of the time.....So with a DSM all you really need is an EMS, good tune, maybe a 35r and some meth and your set...run low 20psi on pump gas and youll beat a lot of cars, it will be rare that you lose. If your dead set on getting another motor and being a dyno queen grab a magnus long rod 2.4 and throw an SC61 on it...you'll be really happy and it should be decently reliable.

Damn must be nice in California, Lambos all over.
\

Funny you should say that...I just saw one going the other way on the freeway coming back to work. Though thats only like the 3rd or 4th one I've seen in my entire 21 year life here in Sacramento.

ive only seen one lambo, and it was parked outside of the jack in the box in the ghetto.

anyways, i think a 2.4 stroker is all you will need. sure with a 2.7ish you will make low end and spool a big turbo at 3500 maybe, but you will only have 2000rpm of full power to work with.

Ha ha, come to Birmingham then. Hwy 280, Shelby county especially. I see two Diablos and a Gallardo, approximately one of those three at least once every month or so. I think one of those was Scrushy's (Healthsouth CEO) though, so its probably been auctioned off.

Has anybody tried the 4G54 2.6L block at all?

theres all sorts of supercars here in reno. i see new ferraris and lambos almost everyday. its all the people in california selling their houses for $$$$$$$ and then moving up here with a shitload of money left over. back on topic, 2.7 would be a bad idea. i think 2.5 would be the biggest id trust the integrity of the block at. i have a feeling that the crank companies are going to start making stroker cranks for our motors very soon. theyre doing it for hondas now so we shouldnt be too far behind.
