hi, I have just purchased a set of ross 8.5-1 compression pistons for a hyundia 4gcs block. it will be a 2.4 liter stroker for my 1999 gsx. My question is what rods, tbelt, cam gears will I need. Will a 4g63 rods fit with no modifications, I plan on using eagle rods :confused: ? Please Let know.

Its not a stroker and i beleive its called a g4cs. I beleive you have to use 2.4 or adjustable cam gears

edit: sorry, you do use the galant dohc tbelt and im using a 87mm bore cometic hg.

The 2.0 cam gears will work but the timing marks will be off. It's much easier to get the 2.4 Galant cam gears.

They are:

MD189399 SPROCKET, CAMSHAFT
MD300439 SPROCKET, CAMSHAFT

They are from a 94 DOHC Galant GS :thumb:

You also need the timing belt from the DOHC galant. And the head gasket.
 
eagle rod part # crs5900ma3d. this si the upgraded new ones with 3/8" rod bolts. i got mine for $300 shipped. you need the cam gears, timing belt and head gasket from a 1994 dohc galant. everything else will bolt on except for the top timing cover which you can make work if you want.

Hey man, I noticed you are running both 2G mas and GM mas together. Did you just unplugged that 2G mas and take all the honeycome out or something? Anyway, what year NT TB off? Is it the 2.0 4G63 or the 1.8 Non-turbo TB? Thanks. :thumb:

I'm not really sure what model the NT TB is off of. It came out of a friends garage.

I had both air sensors in place so I could dial in the airflow of the MAFT to match the stock sensor. I was logging runs with one sensor, then plugging in the other and comparing. Now I just have a 4" round air filter on the intake.
 
I have already bought 4g63 crower rods for a 6 bolt. These will fit right?
