First off, hello everyone, I recently just got rid of my '93 prelude in favor of a '98 eclipse spyder GS, and I am sooo glad that I did, but I've been told by a lot of people that I got the short end of the stick when it comes to the engine. I have the 2.4l engine, and I can't find any parts for it anywhere. I've been told that I can use some performance parts made for the galant for internals, but what about the intake, and exhaust and stuff like that? Are there any interchangeable parts from the 2.0? I don't really want to do an engine swap for the turbo engine because I'm mostly going to be going for looks, but the car is just so damn slow compared to the prelude, (which was decently modded) I'm just looking to do the basics for some pep, intake, exaust, chip, stuff like that. anyone know where to get any parts? much thanks

LoL i love when honda ppl come in here and dont even search the forums. You did get the short end of the stick. There is no intakes, and exhaust for the 4G64. DSM dont have chips like honda's where you can pick it from 10 different companies. There is one company that does make DSM chips but it doesnt do you any good cause you need a 95 EPROM chip which isnt compatible with your car.

However there is good news you can do a 4G63 Head Swap which will add some ponies. You can make you own intake and exhaust. If you want to go even further you can actually turbo it because the 4G64 and 4G63 have compatible parts. THere is a site where a guy goes through alot of mods he did for his 4G64 but i dont remember what it was. Maybe someone can help on that or you can use the search function.

Definately do some research on your engine. The 4g64, while not exactly the most popular of power plants, does have a few well ridden paths to making power. Take a good look into the 4g63 head swap.

Go to http://www.4g64.150m.com/ The website has about everything you want to know and you really didn't to much of a short end i have the 2.4 as well but i have a turbo head and did a full turbo kit with 20g turbo and a 95 ecu and it has a hell of alot of torque compared to a 2.0 but you lose the rpms cause it has a low redline.

First off, welcome to DSMTuners, where people are rude just cause you forgot to search! Atleast you posted in the Newbie section! K, I have a Spyder GS, just like you. I did the head and turbo swap...don't do it! Just keep the Single cam and turbo it with the stock parts from a 4g63T. I am having some problems with mine. No one is willing to help me here. Seems kinda worthless to ask fo help. But, you CAN get an intake for your car. Go out to Autozone or any other place, purchase a 97-99 GST/GSX FIPK from K&N. It bolts right up. Also, the FWD not the AWD cat-back exhaust will bolt right up. I have an Apex-i N1 on my Eclipse. Any other questions feel free to email me [email protected]

I'm sorry you're not getting much help out of people here, but what are the problems you're having? The head swap for the 4g64 has to be one of the best dollar for versatility upgrades that is available for the engine out there. Much stronger piece with so many better characteristics it's not even funny.
