OmgOMGOMGOMG You Mean He's Not Using Dsmlink... Dude Wtf...

LOL, Nope. From what I understand DS-MAP is a more powerful tool than DSMlink. I'm not a tuner pro so I can't tell you exactly why but I can tell you that DS-MAP lets me do anything I want with all the 3D fuel mapping settings and just generally kicks ass. :rocks:

We're 10 days out from the supposed startup date, any news? Oh and someone point me a link to this new DSM-MAP stuff. I've been too focused on driving Subaru's this year and other hobbies with the Talon's engine down for the count and a wedding to pay for keeping me from reviving it.

Awesome, I remember reading about this setup a little over a year ago.

Nice to see you've stepped it up to the next level... Id love to see the acceleration, and some videos of how that thing pulls. I can picture turbo v8 type of torque and acceleration except with 4wd!!!

I do have fear for your drivetrain though.....:|

I have to say... it rides nice. You feel the boost come on almost instantly. It's amazing how smooth it is. Because of the quick spool, it's a gradual push into the seat. I should have taken the chance to drive it, but his seats a little tight for me right now. I'm going to have to take a road trip when break in is done and he gets the boost turn up. :D

Oh yeah, by the way, ds-map has been out for years. I've been running it since mid '06 with no problems and lots of fun.

Hey guys,
Got all my stuff moved, nothing is where I can find it but my car keys right now. Between getting ready for a trip to the Bonnieville Salt Flats, the stupid hurricane, and unpacking, I'm a little booked up right now. The car is running well, Boost is @ 15 psi total for now, gotta get some seat time in it and get a little tuning done. The timing map is super soft at low boost settings and makes the car feel flat at highway speeds. Might get to that after dinner tonight. Otherwise all is well. No problems at all with the intercooler, the SC or the turbo, all it needs now is someplace to go. When I get back from Utah I want to meet some of the local guys around the Mobile AL area, Pensacola etc. Maybe even take it to the dyno for some tuning.... if I can find one.

See you in the dirt....

Ray

I'm going to try for a little video tonight.... wish me luck

Ok, I've promised and teased about posting some video of the car, so here's what I've got this morning. Honestly I need to borrow a camera man for about 15 min and everyone will have something more interesting to watch. Where are all the Mobile Alabama DSMers?

So there are some photos of the engine showing most of the cool bits. The intercooler sits back in the corner where the battery used to be, the piping into it is really hidden behind the engine, but trust me its there.

Enjoy!!

I hope you can find those guys, Ray. Car sounds MUCH better. That idle is almost respectable! ;)

Keep in touch and let me know if you ever need anything.

It's the same one as before, just rotated on end. The flow is from Turbo->SC->IC->Tb. Unless I'm forgetting. Correct me, if I'm wrong Ray.
