2-1/2" 1G fwd downpipe question

I'm almost ready to put my motor back in (replaced timing belt and components, bs removal, etc) and im looking to buy a new downpipe. But before i buy one, would a 2-1/2" flange bolt up to my stock 02 housing or would i need a new flange or 02 housing?? I'm running a 2-1/2" turbo back because im fwd and see no reason for a 3" set-up. Can anyone help me out???

because i dont plan on going over 400hp with a fwd anyway

2 1/2" will bolt up. 2 1/2" good, 3" better. Dont hold my profile against me.
