Hey all, just wanted to introduce myself =)
Name is Joe, I'm 21, US Army mechanic.
Previously a Nissan Fanatic so my knowledge of DSMs is fairly rudimentary, but my knowledge of most mechanics is NOT.

My reason for joining a DSM site is I'm overseas atm, coming home in May. I'm seriously considering purchasing a 97 Eclipse RS and I am dreaming up plans already, and had a few tech questions =O

Before I start asking I'll take the time to look around first so I don't repost, but expect some new threads from me this weekend!

Welcome to the site! Why get the base model if you have big plans for it? Get a GST or GSX, or better yet a TSi or TSi AWD. The turbo models have a lot more potential.

Welcome to the site. Glad to see you are in the army, it takes a tough person to work on these DSM's. I also agree with Dream On, get a GSX or GST. You will not regret getting the turbo.

As the two above me said, far better off starting with a GST/TSi or GSX/TSi AWD.
