1st DSM!

I just picked up my first DSM today. Its a 95 GSX with the 97-99 conversion on the front. I can't wait to start modding it and driving it. :laugh:

Heres some pics.... The first thing to go though will probably be the taillights.

First mod... Ditch those taillights and pick up a stock pair. Check local ricers for cheap stock lights. That how I got my stockers when my car had altezzas when I bought it.

2nd... Ditch the wheels... :thumbdown Stock GSX wheels would look 10x better than those.

3rd... Get ride of that fart pipe muffler. Looks like they bought a knock off muffler off ebay and welded it onto the stock exhaust piping.

really clean car...### taillights. ditch them for some stockers. lower it, and pick up some stock rims (the 5 star chrome ones) and youll be pimpin.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but weren't there structural issues with the 2gb GSX wheels. I've heard people complain about them cracking if you hit a pothole or something like that. Was this just a certain batch that was bad or was this something with the manufacturing?

I agree that you should get rid of the tails and lowering it would make a huge difference. If you decide that you're intersted in some wheels, LMK. I have a set of 17" chrome show wheels that came with my 1g. They aren't the direction I'm going with the car and they would look awesome on a 2g.

First thing I'd do would be to check or change every fluid in it & hose on it - All this cosmetic CRAP can wait - & BTW I like those wheels - Welcome!
