hi,
i am interested in putting 18" motegi MR-7 wheels on my 1991 plymouth laser. my only problem is i do not know if they will fit in the wheel well with tires. if anyone out there has 18" wheels on their laser....please let me know so and also tell me what size tire you have on the wheel. i would also like to know how snugly they fit in the wheel well. if 18's dont fit i guess i will have to go for 17 inch wheels. what is a good size tire that would fit a 17" wheel?

now my options are

16x7.5 +38 (square set)
16x8 +25 (square set)
17x9 +30 (square set)

Quick question.
On my 1G GSX
Planing on running 225/45/17 tire.
Rims that I see in 17" are mostly 8J wide.
Whats the lowest offset that I can go with so it won't rub or stick out to much?
I will probably use Tein springs.

Yes.I had 245/45 and rubbed a bit, but was low on Koni/GCs. 225s would have solved that problem.

I'm pretty sure the 275 is just too wide. If I remember right a 255 width is about all you can fit reasonably.

Looking at picking up a set of D.O.T. slicks like the M&H muscle car drag tires or racemaster DOT slicks.

I plan to run these on a set of 15" Rota slipstreams with a 40mm offset and either a 7" width wheel (not yet purchased).

It seems like the general consensus is 235/60-15 or 24.5x8.5 or 26x8.5. Is this correct? What do you recommend? Whats the largest slick you have ran without rubbing issues on stock type suspension without spacers?
