I just bought a 1993 Talon TSI AWD with a 6-bolt swap in it. The guy was in the middle of a 5-speed swap when I bought it from him. All the cables are ran and the shifter assembly is complete. Also, the auto tranny is removed. That's all that's done on the swap. I have the manual tranny and everything else i need except the master cylinder, which i'm buying this week. Was wondering if someone could give me some kind of a list on the best way to finish this swap. I've looked everywhere and i can only find 2g stuff; no luck on the 1g. Also, all the 2g transmission swaps say that you have to change the Tcase and differential. I wasn't sure if you had to do the same to the 1g's or if you could just use the same Tcase and differential that was used for the auto. Any help would be greatly appriciated.

Yup no problem. If your still in the mist of doing the swap some advice would be to pull the dash to drill the hole for the clutch pedal,or remove the steering colum! It makes it a lot easier.

You in no way have to pull the dash. Just remove the column and pedal assembly and it is real easy to get in there and cut the hole in the firewall out.

yes, you'll have to get a transfer case for a 5 speed as well as the driveshaft and rear end. has the hole been drilled out for the master cylinder?

Been a while since i've been on this post but i stored the car for the past couple years without ever working on it. But these past couple months I've gotten the motor built and put in and the auto to manual swap just about done. I just cant figure out the wiring. I have a stand alone ecu. It still has the harness for the auto tranny. Just wondering if someone knows what i need to do to make it work as far as re-wiring stuff. Any help would be appreciated.
