1g POPUP motor install??

1g POPUP motor install?? Ive never done it - my drivers side light on the 1g i just acquired wont go up. Anyone got any tips/tricks?

Dumb question, but are you sure the rod is attached? They like to pop off. If you are sure it IS the motor then do the following to remove the motor:

First remove the arm which attaches the motor to the headlight assy by popping it off with a flat screwdriver or something similar. Next remove the three bolts that hold the motor in place. (one on top and two in back) All that's left to do is unplug the electrical connector and it's out.

you know im not sure of anything including that everything is properly lubed. I just know one dont go up and this car had not moved in over 2 years. I will defiantly look into it farther soon !

If the car has not moved in a couple years it could be that the hinges where the lights flip up may have seized up causing the rod to pop off or just making it so the motor can't open it. If the rod is NOT off, try taking it off and working the headlight door up and down with the help of a little PB or something. Good luck
