Ok if I bought a non-mendral bent exhaust 3" all the way back for my turbo 1G would it be worth buying for 190 bucks? Or should I wait for the mendral bent tubing for like 400 bucks?

I personally would wait for the mandrel bent system. Far less restrictive as compared to standard bends. I'm also the kind of person who likes to buy the best stuff and then forget about it instead of buying something, regretting that I didn't get what I actually wanted, then buy the better part later on down the road

My friend just got a full 3" turbo back on his 3rd gen turbo'd eclipse. He paid $35.00 for them to make it, Including ALL the materials and pipes needed. It's press bent, But not the kind with all of the little crimps in it. I don't even seen any crimps. It's weird, But it is press bent, You can't even tell. It's a 3" exhaust, How bad can it be bent down in the corners?, maybe to 2 1.2" ? I woulden't pay over 300$ more for just a mandrel bent exhaust.. I paid $300.00 for my full 3" apexi turbo back exhaust brand new in the box never used, With ALL hardware..

Well, I am just saying I am trying to save some money, yes I like speed but I am looking for more of a street car. So I am looking for something easy on my wallet but still giving me a nice increase in performace. I know the guy who said he would do it and the press bends are nice but, there are some smaller lips on them. I would guess maybe 2 1/4 maybe in the corners. Another question should I be turbo back or get a high flow cat? I don't know much about exhaust but I learn quick, so what I want is a street legal, I live in Ohio, system that will give me nice performance and sound.
Thanks for the advice before :thumb:

As far as mandrel bends go, yes they are nice but there is not a huge difference between those and a crush bend. I don't think you would even feel the difference between a crush bend and a mandrel bend until you get into much higher hp range (250+ probably). So if getting an exhaust crush bend saves you $200 it's worth it.

Mandrel increases the prices of tubing because the machine itself is so expensive.

As far as getting a high flow cat or not depends on your state emissions. If you get a nice high flow cat then you'll still be able to pass. Changing the cat will give you more power (2-3 hp) but it will also make your exhaust louder.

Hope it helps, let us know if you have more questions.
