60k on a rebuilt 1.8. Going down highway it died. Got spark and fuel. Valves are moving. When I get #1 at top dead center and rotor set to number 1 and turn crank to get number 1 AT DC the rotor does not end back up at number 1. It ends up just shy. What is going on? Is my tensioner fried?
Any help is appreciated. Thanks.
FYI. The cam stays with the crank. Both valves loose at TDC. I have tried another distributor no go.
Update:: go figure. Pulled the timing belt cover off and it is
missing half the teeth. Yea, 58,200 miles on this motor from powertrain products. JUNK! They will hear from me tommorow!
