Resolved 1G FWD, Rear Sway Bar Install

Cool, coulda used this when I did my own as their instructions were good at best.

One thing I'd love for you to throw in there since I lost my instructions is what holes give you more or less oversteer. I'm about 95% positive that the front one is less understeer and the one closer to the rear is for more, but I'd appreciate it if you could find that out and add it to the tech article. That way when I forget in a month I can look it back up.
 
Moving the sway bar end links to the rearmost hole will increase oversteer. This stiffens the bar (by making the "arms" shorter) so that it acts as a stiffer spring. Moving the links to the formost holes will increase understeer. I find I get a nice amount of trail braking oversteer with the bar in the middle setting. :dsm:
 
See I could get some on my winter tires, but on the Falkens I got none. We'll crank it up a notch to the stiffest setting and see what happens there.
 
Thanks for the article. I'm looking to purchase my sway bar any day now. I can't wait to try it out at autox, but it will be tough as I've just put on my coilovers and shocks and the car drives very differently. Did you see some marked improvement at autox with the swaybar?
 
What tires do you run when autocrossing? The middle setting on the bar mixed with my Falken rt215's wouldn't rotate at all, even when it rained outside.
 
I have the Hankook's and love them, lots of grip. I hope to have the sway bar on my car by the 21st for the next event.
 
I have the same bar and after putting it on the full stiff mode I'm in love with it. The car feels so much more willing to rotate than it ever has before. I can actually drive the car now as opposed to just flailing it around attempting to keep understeer at a minimum.
