This is the ECU I took out of my 91 TSi. I'm pretty sure it's a EPROM ECU but can someone verify this for me? Also I plan on selling it, how much do these typically run for? Thanks.

It is EPROM but is not socketed. (that is OK, that is stock)
The price very depending where you are planning in selling it. (eBay, local, classified at dsmtuner.com)

Price wise 100$ an up
check this as a reference >link

Thanks. This may be a stupid question but what do you mean by socketed?

The chip is soldered to the board. In order to put a different chip in it the stock chip has to be de-soldered and a "socket" is put in and soldered so that chips can be taken out and put in, no soldering required.

By socketed you are able to remove an EPROM and install back again with out soldering.
It is beneficial (or necessary) whenever you are installing DSMLink, TMO chips, etc...
because you have to get rid of the original settings to make your own new settings work.

Info about the verification of the EPROM:
www.tmo.com/howto/ecu1g/checkeprom.htm

Info about the chips out there for sale:
www.dsmlink.com
www.tmo.com
others I don't remember right now....
