1g dash board removal

Does anyone know where I can get a step by step on how to removal dash board. I need to replace my heater core on my 1990 gsx. I cant find anywhere on the steps to take out the dash board. Is there any places that have pictures or videos?

Nope just take it apart i did no step by step instruction. Its as lot of work but ive done it several times, now its easy.

Just remember to pull the center vents out to access the 2 screws behind them so you dont break the center bezel taking it apart.

Thats the thing. Iv never done it and really have no idea on where to start. I have a good idea on how to take center console out and tach, but no sure if there are bolts that are hidden. Does it come out in one piece or two?

One big piece, you gotta start somewhere, you will see as you start taking everything apart.

I don't know personally if this is necessary I gutted my interior for a specific purpose, but before I went that route I was pulling the heater and A/C out, because this will be a weekend track car only. Went the whole dash eventually as I decided to try and custom build my instrument cluster and figured it would be cleaner looking.

So to answer the OP, you can pull the heater out without dismantling the entire dash, it's not fun, but can be done and will probably save you a couple of hours in the disassemble/reassemble process.
