Ok so my car is having some problems. I have changed the alternator, resurfaced the battery terminals (completly pulled them apart) with sand paper and steel wool and still I can't the car to run any longer then 25 minutes without it needing a recharge. Any ideas?

Also on the same note the left side of my interior is paralyzed. The windows the locks the seat belts, none of them work. I checked all the fuses in the car and all are in good shape the only thing I can think of is the relays.

Solution
I hate my own ignorance. Sure as shit the 80 amp fuse for the alternator was blown. The one thing I didn't realize is the it has to be unbolted from the box so I ripped it to pieces before i noticed the screws underneath it.

Yeah, that fusible link is a pain in the ass. I almost did the same thing when mine blew.

oh and thnx for the inspiration to get up and double check the fuses i was getting ready to do drastic things

Drastic things, LOL. I was half way through taking my altenator out, already had power steering pump pushed aside, when I rememberd about the fuses. But we all learn from our mistakes. Ohh and the bolt holding the fuse in cought me off guard as well.

The guy I bought my car from did the same thing ripped the fuseable link right out, but the best part was he just wired in the new one to the old terminlas that were broke off. He was not very smart with anything to do electrically (nothing mechanical either for that matter). Luckily I got a great deal on it, so I'm ok with fixing a few electrical issues.
