I am doing the timing belt on my 95 right now, and I have a 6 bolt sitting in the garage as well. I am not doing the swap yet (havent even taken the motor apart yet), but im wondering if it would be benificial to swap the 91 cams in the 95. I heard that the 1g (91+) have a .010 higher lift on them. I read a couple other posts about it, but nobody came up with any good advice or any feedback if they did it.

Any help would be appreciated. THanks.

I couldn't tell you. I have them supposedly, but then again my car was pretty messed up when I got it.

I think they have a little more lift ... you will gain a little but not a whole lot. I swapped the whole 1g head on as that will give you the most gain. Then put some aftermarket cams in that and you are in business :thumb: . 2g head = waste of time.

Well, installed the cams today. They went in pretty much just like the stock 2g ones. I measured the height of the lobe with a gauge, and the 1g was noticably larger than the 2g, but still had the same lobe width and slope (up to a certain point).

Is there anyone else that has done this? Once the timing belts on and the cars back up and running, im probly going to the track again to see any changes or gains from it (looking mainly at trap speeds).
