1g bov on stock 2g

Do it right, do it once, replace it with an aftermarket that's designed to hold more boost.
Just because a 1G valve was designed for 20+ years of use on a daily driver doesn't mean it will not function properly at high boost when properly modded. Mitsubishi never planned a 1G DSM to crank 30+psi, so they never designed the valve to hold that much pressure.

The solution is not to run out and drop $200+ on an aftermarket valve. When you consider how many diaphragms a Greddy eats through over time in comparison to a 1G valve which never needs a diaphragm replacement, the 1G valve is your best option hands-down...even after modification.

Aftermarket manufacturers see guys like you coming a mile away. :D

I'm still rocking the stock BOV, but if you're shooting for a bov that'll hold 40psi, bending/crushing the stock BOV *isn't* the way. The message that I posted the "do it right, do it once" to was in response to this:

I crushed mine and it was fine for a week but now it leeks

I don't like rice, and I only change things out when I need to. I'll keep the stock BOV in there until I start having problems with it.

Edit: And when I start having problems with it, I'm not going to butcher it for more temporary performance. I'm going to buy a full replacement part.

Why did you quote me then? that really doesn't make sense :|

Also, Bending??? what are you talking about:confused:

FYI: My stock slightly crushed & dodge-modded BOV holds 30psi without any issues an has for quite awhile

So you do understand what this so called
"butchering it for more temporary performance"
Is actually doing right?

I don't do irreversible fixes, and I also try to avoid temporary fixes unless it's just to get me home. If I know it's going to wear out anyway, I'll just get an aftermarket bov.

:ohdamn:Do as you please I could care less.
But, Your a fool:aha:

Did you even read what you quoted me saying... ?

I'm not sure what your going on about... . But, you can stop know:thumb:
