1G BOV on 2G Eclipse ???

heres the problem, g/f's dad broke the nose piece(on stock gst BOV) connected to a vaccum type hose, and ive got it rigged right now, sounds bad as hell but im not getting peak boost nor am i doing any good for my engine. I want to know if i just buy the 1g bov do i need some sort of adapter to put on my 2g? or will it just bolt on, which will make me feel alot better. Thanks---

1Gs bolt on with two bolts on a diamond-shaped flange, unlike the 2G's rubber-on-nozzle. eBay has the best prices on adapters at $15+ship. The outlet on a 1G is a bit smaller than a 2G's, so the rubber return hose has to be crimped down some to fit, but it's nothing drastic.

u might be able to get BOV cheaper , try DSMtrader , or keep searching. I think that the 1G BOV on a 2G sounds louder then the stocker so yeah you should still have the same sound.

You'd be better off getting an upper intercooler pipe flanged for the 1g bov. Easy to install and it makes a big difference.

Not technically. He could just trim the bottom of the air filter box if he has to but I honestly know if he checks ebay he can buy a air filter adapter and filter for pretty cheap.

even if he had to take the stock box out , i dont think it would be that hard. The guy before me didnt and he was a moron. The main reason he sold me his car was because he couldnt drive a stick ummmm...... then why would you buy one in the first place moron?! but it worked out for me
