so after thinking i had a really bad boost leak, which made the car hit fuel cut anytime under WOT...i was driving to work and gave it a little gas, i noticed that the BOV was like blowing off by itself (if that makes sense)...let me try this...

under WOT, it kinda felt like fuel cut but instead of the car bogging down, the BOV would activate slowing the car because theres no boost, but once boost built back up, it would activate again, without me taking my foot off the throttle (make sense?). So, like the car, under WOT, is constantly blowing off

So the car is like..surging? that might be the right word.

Oh and at idle the i can hear air coming out of the BOV, i took off the recirc tube to make sure i wasnt just hearing things, and there is airflow. Shouldnt that not be happening?

any ideas?

Do you have an aftermarket chip in your ECU? We had a problem once where the Launch Control was set at 5k and any time we got to the RPM it would stutter like it was at the line ready to go down the track. It was all due to a bad Vehicle Speed Sensor. Since most of the time with burned EPROMs the Launch Control function is written to reference the VSS, so if it's not showing any speed then the ECU won't know that the car is moving thus putting the revlimit at 5k or in your case 4k. Also, the CEL did not come on for it to throw a DTC. Just something for you to look into.

And that would be my car. :D

A boost leak test would do wonders for the OP though.

Hey guys Im haveing sorta the same problem only when idleing...Ill rev it and when it goes to normal RPM the BOV goes shut the opens right back up then closed then back up which is causeing my car to have a bad idle of course and I get a high pitched whine from my BOV its a crushed one. Could it have been crushed wrong?> Thanks
