Can a 1998 eclipse Spyder non turbo 2.4 automatic be converted to a manual turbo
 
Yes.

I thought about typing all the things you'd have to do, but that's not my job.
I thought about being a smart ass, but that's just what they'd expect me to do.

So instead, good luck, time to search.
 
yes definately search, that is however a fairly easy and common swap / upgrade. the turbo parts from the GST/GSX will bolt to the 4g64 SOHC head. you can also do the DOHC Swap as well if you are so inclined. there is some work to be done with the tranny swap but that is not difficult. if you do turbo your 4g64 i would not go over about 10psi on the stock bottom end. this is just a rule of thumb and people do run more but 10 is the accepted safty limit of the stock motor. good luck.
