This is just a placeholder for my build journal. I have pictures chronologically sorted on my Facebook profile, and will be writing a document offline as I go through them. I feel venting my "struggle" on here will benefit my health somehow.
Also, there will be two builds, or stories, on my page. I own both this '97 and a 1990 Eagle Talon TSI AWD. I daily that car, and have a major emotional connection to it, being it's the DSM I've owned the longest, and is the DSM that has ran the longest. (
) It's bent valves twice, been through four turbochargers, and I've even sold it and bought it back!
The '97 (no, I don't name my cars!) is the 5th Diamond Star Motor vehicle I've made the almost mistake of buying. Purchased in the late spring of 2013, I acquired it with a blown out center differential in the manual transmission. The car is Northstar White, odometer claimed 82k for mileage, and had a set of glorious Volk TE37's! The car also came with ECMLink V3, Greddy Evo2 exhaust and 3" down-pipe, Big 16g, atmospheric O2 housing, 1200cc FIC injectors, and totally mis-matching (setup matching wise) Brian Crower stage 3 camshafts (280's), mild head and port work, Walbro 255, Greddy Profec B(this mod has something to do with a mistake later) and a generic FMIC kit. It was tuned on E85 @ 11 (only wastegate pressure, again more about my mistake later) pounds of boost pressure.
