So I've been reading for a few days now on how to run the Coil on plug setup on the 1990 dsms with the tach adapter, and an AEM CDI box, as well as an AEM EMS. I have a few questions. I'm going to be using this diagram I borrowed from another post on the site. Now, I know I need to wire the Tach Adapter in before the CDI box hits the coils. Am I wiring this into the white and green trigger wires? Or on the ECU side of the original 4 wire coil plug? As far as the actual Green and White trigger wires, I know they go to the factory ignitor (the PTU) but exactly where? The PTU has 5 wires, all of which I assume I am not to touch. From the diagram it looks like I am just to attach trigger wire 1 White to Brown on the coil side, and Trigger wire 2 to the Orange wire on the coil side. I think I'm just over thinking this, but with as much info as there is on the web, I still haven't found the answers. Help me out DSMers. I'm ready to fire up this 6 month project! :hellyeah:

I've got it figured out. Hopefully it works the way I have it wired. I'll post up a thread about the setup if it does.

Did It work for you? I just purchased the aem CDI and I too am running an aem ecu, and tach adapter. I have the same instructions and I am getting ready to put it in this weekend but I am trying to find more examples of this application before I just through 50,000 volts to my plugs.
