1990 boost gauge tap?!!@#!

ok ive had many dsm's and everytime i installed a boost gauge 1st and 2nd gen i tapped the fuel pressure solenoid on the driver side firewall...i just bout a 1990 talon tsi and their is no soleniod on the firewall next to the brake flued reseviorWTF ..im confused...yes the kid b4 me deleted some vaccume lines like the ones on the throttle bodie and blocked them off..are those the lines im supposed to be looking for?... so i guess i would have to tap on of the vaccumes from the intake manifold right?

There is probobly a hose which runs from the FPR to the intake manifold, t into that hose.
