1988 dodge colt?

a buddy of mine just bought a 1988 dodge colt wagon for a damn good deal, i know that the 89-92 can be fairly easy to swap in a 4g63, but i was wondering if you guys had any info or knowledge on swap/turbo options for the 88, i have searched a bit and cant seem to find anything solid to go off of.

Depends if it's truly an '88, or just has an 88 manufacture date.
My '89 Mirage hatchback and '88 Colt were identical (salvaged the ECU from the Colt to keep the Mirage running, in fact), Mitsubishi just decided to start selling them directly, instead of letting Dodge import them.

The swap should be similar, if not identical. Sadly, I ran out of money before completing the 4G63 swap into mine, and had to get rid of it.. donated it to one of those 'car angel' places. Still regret it every few weeks, when I see a cheap '90 GS-T for sale.
Be prepared to do a lot of wiring work though, if you don't want to simply replace the engine wiring harness outright... which may be a good idea, by the way.

haha. I was in a hurry when i typed that, on my way out the door. But ill check it out, he is not much for car knowledge so i would probably be doing all the ecu/wiring stuff while he just turned a wrench. Thanks for the help.....anyone else with info just chyme in...
