I just installed my Boost Guage and its reading 14.5psi with no mbc , i dont understand why it would do this , any ideas or information on this type of thing.... I hooked the Boost Guage up the way vfaq explained so im 99% sure thats fine... any feedback would help

If you still have the factory bcs hooked up then 12-14psi sounds about right.

14.5 doesn't sound too crazy to be true, but is your car bone stock? no open exhaust or something that may contribute to this boost level...

does it pull hard all thruout the RPM?

Noting else is done to the car , i do have a mbc , but didn't get a chance to do it last night .... Well i thoug factory boost was around 9psi and the fuel system in the factory cars can only support 16psi thats why i thought it was a little high , im reltivly new to the dsm community so i don't know that much about the car ... thx for the replys tho made me feel a little better

at one point my car was hitting about 18 psi with no Boost controller. Now that I have one, it stays rock solid at 13 psi. :D

quick question about that.. does the boost go up everytime u upgrade a certain part!? cuz when i upped mah BOV.. i was hitting 13-14psi.. but spiked down to 10 when reaching high RPMS.. then i got a filter.. went to 15-16.. and spiked down to 10 in high RPMS... full piping. 3inch everything.. 17psi(almost 18 but not enough to call it 18psi) but spiked to 10?

does that always happen to a 4g63t on upgrades!?

and isnt boosting more the 15psi on a stock t25 juss wasting hot air or something like that!?

Well, if you lessen the restriction in the intake tract then the engine has to work less to pull the same amount of air, thus work less to make the same horsepower. So yeah, the boost may go up when you do certain mods, just readjust your MBC to get your desired boost level back (or buy one right now if you have not gotten one at this point). As far as it dropping off to 10 psi, that is just the crappy t-25 losing steam in the upper RPM's
