I have a question that I'm not fully aware of: Are there 14b's that did not come with water line hook-ups? If there are, is there any downside to owning one of these oil-fed only? Does it downgrade performance? If so, in order to block the coolant lines from running to the turbo do you just use some vacuum hose to complete the gap to where the turbo would usually dump the coolant? Any help would be appreciated!

The original 14b and 13g for autos, on the cars were from 90 to 1994. All of them had a water line off the main water pipe from the water pump. I have a 91, and when i did my evo III swap, i know this, because i had coolant drip from the water lines that were there. I used the original water lines to do the job, just had to bend them a little. These turbos need a water line to keep them cool. Oil will not be sufficient to do that. Plus, the oil is mostly to keep the turbine lubricated.

like he said all oem 14b's are liquid cooled, but as far as performance i have a forced performance 18g that is not liquid cooled, as far as perfromance pulls hard on my talon but i would like it alot better if it were liquid cooled just so the turbo dont get so hot.
