So i have a question, about the waste gate arm.. Is this fine?? I notice the arm is pulled out a little bit more on the 16g hotside.. then the one on my 14b hotside... here are some pictures to compare.. Is this okay?? Would this affect my waste gate from not opening enough?? (This is an ebay hotside, would i have to get an ebay wastegate actuator???)

Here is the stock 14b wastegate arm that i took off the car... to compare

You will just have more tension..Which will either help you, or the wg will not open.

I think mine looked like that when i attached the wg to my 14b on the 16g turbine housing..And my WG opens just fine.

I am doing this 16g hotside to get rid of boost creep.. I have a ported 2g 02 housing to go along with it.. And i ported the hell out of the wastegate hole behind the flapper.. I'm just worried that i'll still have boost creep after all this has been done since my waste gate won't be able to open enough... Did you have any creep issues??

I had creep on the ebay e3 and stock exhaust..Now with the 14b, full exhaust and ported to hell turbine housing..I havnt drivin it on the road yet.

Well damn, I am just hoping after I slap this on it doesn't creep anymore.. I am doing this whole ported 16g hotside/ported 02 housing to get rid of creep and if i put it all together and still have boost creep i'll be pissed LOL.... I was reading on another forum they said,

"NOTE: One thing that was noticed with this setup was that the 14b Wastegate actuator binds against the housing not allowing the wastegate to open completely. The solution for this was using the 16G Wastegate actuator which is adjustable and opens completely. "

So i'm in a toss up.. I am going to give it a go and see how it works out.. i'll let you guys know if it creeps or not and i guess i'll have to get a new 16g ebay actuator if it does..

I did notice a diference in mounting depth between the ebay turbo where the wg bolt to VS my mhi 14b.Which is why you might have this much tension.

Now..The porting should help..but not always gurenteed, because of who ported it..Justin was just telling me, that not porting, and porting too much are two very different scenarios. That you can hurt performance by porting too much..as compared to the stock turbine housing..So doing it right is the key to porting.

Black widow ported his..And it did not help at all..But he really only did the wg hole..Sorry for mentioning that corey, but its true.

Thanks for the information man, I am going to give it a go and see how it goes. I had a buddy of mine that is a local DSM guy port it for me.

Well then get it all done and together..Drive it and let me know if the wg will open like its supposed to.And how the creep issue is after porting the turbine housing.

Well, went to put it all together and totally forgot to have my buddy grind down the bottom right side of the 2G manifold so it would fit.. :ohdamn: Now i have to wait for my buddy so he can help me grind it away.. Bummer :notgood:

I have yet to taken her out to do some pulls, ran into a FAT exhaust leak between the 02 housing and downpipe.. The downpipe is custom and is welded around the flange.. I'm thinking it went to shit... After i started it up it sounds horrible and smells like exhaust.. And it has a new exhaust gasket.. I'm going to take off my downpipe tomorrow and take it to an exhaust shop and have them look at it and fix it ...

Scratch that, i went out and did some pulls anyway with the exhaust leak and holds 10 lbs to redline.. i'm happy :)

You know if you mod it..You can stop hitting fuel cut.

Thanks for letting me know bro, but this is my daily driver and I want too keep her as STOCK as possible other then the 3" exhaust so i had her ported to help with creep. Instead of dumping money into a wideband/tuning management/fuel pump/injectors/etc.. It was creeping to 19PSI at WOT from 10PSI

I daied mine for 2 or 3 years..Then I realized I could park it, and not put miles on it..While upgrading, and not having to pay insurance..LOL
So I get it homie..DD that bi*** as long as you feel you want to.

Lol! This is my daily driver, and i hated not being able to WOT without hitting fuel cut.. :D

There are free easy ways to avoid fuel cut to a certain extent. I can run 19 without knock or fuel cut or spark plugs show good fuel mixture. Fuel trims stay good as well. No tuning/wb etc. Just physical tuning. And no cut/spliced/soldered wires either.

But thats off topic ireckon. Lol
