13g swap to a Manual Tranny AWD

Heres the deal,
I have a 1992 TSI awd with a MT but the 14b is shot, the housing is cracked, the impeller is shot and I just dont think its worth rebuilding atm. I have a brand new 13g from a AT 91 laser, until I can upgrade to a 16g I was wondering if the 13g would fit directly, if it has the same cooling lines? and if I need to change anything beacuse it needs to pass an emissions test and I dont want it to be dumping to much fuel due to the undersized turbo. Can this be done and has anyone tried?
 
To clarify, Im stuck with a broken 14b and a good 13g, do I need to change the computer or the injectors to the automatic tranny ones or should the Manual tanny Comp & injectors run the 13g without having an overly rich mixture. My big worry right now is not power (buying a 18g down the road) but Im just trying to get it to pass the emssions check so I can drive it for the time being. Please help.:cr
 
You will be fine with the 13g. As far as fuel goes, if all you are doing is swapping turbos, you shouldn't have an issue with passing emissions. The 13g flows less air than the 14b, but that only comes into play when into boost, not at idle, which is when emissions is measured.
 
You will need the oil and coolant lines, as well as the banjo bolts and crush washers from an automatic because the ones on the 14b are a different size.
 
Anyone know where to get new lines for the 13g, or if they make stainless for the oil? Or am I off to the store to look for fittings?

He is exactly correct ! :thumb: i did this a while back , lines are smaller.
