After months of reverse engineering, prototyping and testing, we've successfully reproduced the discontinued steering rack bushings for both 1G DSM steering rack versions.
Power Steering Rack Bushings
Manual Steering Rack Bushings (including the rare passenger-side bushing)
These parts have been obsolete for years, and for many owners there simply hasn't been a replacement available.
At the moment, we're deciding on the best manufacturing route.
We can continue producing them in smaller batches, or if demand is high enough, invest in injection moulding to produce an OEM-quality product at a larger scale. As you can imagine, injection mould tooling is a significant investment, so we're trying to gauge genuine community interest before making that commitment. We always supply the highest quality products no matter what we bring to you all.
The material either way would be TPU due to its support and added stiffness vs rubber. 85A is the spec and bushes will be black.
We have two ways to do these so we wish to see which way is better suited for the future of the DSM chassis long-term
This isn't a commitment to buy—it's simply helping us understand the demand so we can make the right manufacturing decision. But the numbers will help us decide on the best course of action.
