Hey, i just purchased a set of Z3 fenders, and was wondering how hard they are to install... personal pictures would be nice...

also, they have no holes in them, so am I supposd to drill the holes or is that the manufactures default???

get back at me
thanks,
mike

well im not in to z3's but my brother has some for his civic and his came with holes. how much were the fenders, are they fiberglass or metal. if they didn't come with predrilled holes u might have a hard time fitting them.

well i havent got them yet, well i havent even ordered them yet.. thats why i have posted this first.. theres a guy selling them for 50.00 us +shipping... he said they were grey primered, and didnt have any holes.. so i am wondering if hes bullshitting??..

im going to find out if they are fiberglass or metal..

50 bucks says they are fiberglass. and another 20 says they dont come with holes. 80% of body kits dont either. Use ingenuity, and a ruler and put them there.

I agree, it makes sense that you would have to drill your own holes. Individual car fitment will vary.

i bought some z3 from import options on ebay they were 60$ plus shipping there was no holes drilled but the fitment was good.

ya, the guy said he had bought them off ebay, so mybe he is telling the truth??.. i dont know.. im waiting for him to send me a picture... no picture = no sale...

any one heard of an RS Type Front Strut bar for the 90-94 talon/eclipse?... he says hes got one of them to and will sell it for 10.00... i tried searching for it but didnt find anything..

Ehhh.... I miss my metal fenders. If I could switch back (inexpensively) I would. Fiberglass just sucks. If it's not fitment problems, you get stress cracks in your paint. I am currently using Aerogear fenders. Min fit good, but now they are getting spots that are wavey and cracking and I am now neeeding new paint on them.

Non-pre-drilled is a good thing. By drilling your own holes, you are ensuring proper fitment.

Although, if they are selling fenders for the 95-99 eclipses specifically for example, they should find out how it fits right once and apply it to the rest of their stock just as if you were purchasing an OEM fender. When you buy an OEM fender its a direct replacement no bullshit but of course not the same deal with aftermarket.

ANYTHIGN fiberglass is never a direct fit. You ALWAYS have to do SOMETHING to maek it perfect rather than just ok

is it for looks only, or will the vents actually go through the inner wall to suck out hot air? or are you talking about holes for it to bolt in place? just curious to learn for future reference in a similar situation. :) i'm making custom metal fenders, might add some sort of vents for cooling.

the vents are mostly looks, theres a metal frame behind the fender

I bought metal ones off Ebay with pre-drilled holes for $175 shipped. There at the body shop now, the quality looks great!
