Ok i have searched all over for a decent thread on my problem but couldnt find one so if # know of one point me in that direction! thanks

I bought a cheapo manual boost controller (home depot special LOL) and it did not seem to be able to set my boost at a low enough setting. (Lowest i could get it was around 18psi) So i hooked the tubes back up to the stock BCS and now i get crazy boost readings spiking and sometimes chilling at around 20psi!!! This really worries me, could the stock controller have gone bad...if so is it testable?

Thanks in advance!

The stock bcs cannot allow more boost unless altered. If it malfunctions, you can only get less boost.

As a point of reference I would hook your waste gate actuator directly to a boost source. This will be the lowest amount of boost you will be able to run (without tweaking the actuator). Anything put between the boost source and the actuator (mbc, bcs, etc) will make the boost higher.

If you plumb it direct and you are still having over boost problems then the bcs/mbc is not not the problem.
