Have been looking at rims for along time now and have been looking at the XXR 527s. 18x8.75 +35mm offset. My current suspension has not been touch it is all stock but in the future i would like to lower her 1.5" to 2". Reason for looking at these rims with those specs is cause i would like to get a more "aggressive" stance. Question is would this rim fit on my car. Rolling and pulling a fender would not be a problem for me to do but my main concern is will it fit and what would need to be done? Pics would be much appreciated!

Yes. There has been no change in the last few hours since this question was last answered (about exactly these wheels).

I disagree. Tires are expensive and you have to pay someone else to mount them. I would wrap them in 4782 layers of Plasti-Dip. Slightly fewer layers for extra torque. Slightly more if you're making snow tires.

Has this spot of advice been track tested? ROFL

+35 Fits fine you shouldn't have to mess with the fenders at all with that wheel size- I roll on XXR 006 18X9 rear with a +35 offset and the only fender mods I had to do was pie slice the seam behind the fender and roll it up (which you can't see anyway.....Thats with my coil overs spun down to the collars and tires stretched 20mm in the rear and 10mm in the front- (my fronts are 18x8 +30) I didn't have to touch my front fenders and I can sling the car into the corner as hard as I can and not rub- you should be good able to bolt you shit up and go with no headaches if your only going with 7.5 inch wide wheels....

I was thinking a bunch of rubber bands, like a rubber band ball. That way you don't have to spend money on springs, only on struts. Use some shoe goo so you don't loose bands when going around curves. (shoe goo doesn't prevent me from losing bands around curves, but those are different bands, and curves :shhh:)

If you decide to splurge on the tire route, you can still save... F#%# paying someone. Mount em yourself. And don't worry, tires balance themselves just give em 2000 miles.

Actually 9.5.......I was wrong- I just checked my reciepts after reading your posts,my rears are 9.5 inches wide. fronts are 7.5........
My fronts poke about a 1/2 inch the rears poke about 1 inch, but because the camber tucks them back in they look flush in the rear and tucked in the front....
the stretch makes them look like they arent quite that wide either but 20mm is a very mild stretch and 10mm is a baby stretch most people who see my wheels don't even realize the tires are stretched.

You know that posting about putting wider wheels on the rear of a front-heavy, front-wheel-drive car is just teeing yourself up for a really snide post, yes?

Not to be a complete dick about it ....but just so you know- I could give a shit less about anyones "snide" remarks about me putting wider wheels on the back of my front drive car because I did it purely for the way I want the car to look and don't give a damn what anyone else thinks...... I do my cars for me cause thats the way I LIKE THEM...Not anyone else.

Honestly I don't care if the car understeers like a F##kin' overloaded dump truck ROFL I have 7 different cars and the ones I use for cornering are rear wheel drive. This car will be a car that I may roll race every blue moon and thats about it, If I'm tracking anything it'll be my M3 or my XR4TI.....Maybe my 93' Audi S4, but if I were to use another front drive car I'd use my far lighter, far more nimble VW Corrado G-60........It may not be all that quick but it has a very high cornering speed for a fwd....

I'm suddenly more interested in why over-loaded dump-trucks suffer from under-steer. Have you tried trail-braking? Or simply entering the turns at lower speeds?

For safety sake, you may want to practice some more before hitting the track, following this guy:

Oooooo- nice technique......I'd try left foot braking first.....you'd kill two birds with one stone you'd spool the turbo and come off the corner with the maximum amount of power the engine can produce at the corners apex..........I road raced for nearly 5yrs in SCCA had the time of my life, LOL

I'm sure you get my point. If someone said they didn't like the exhaust you used or your coilovers, or your dsm link because they preferred other brands or different styles, or even a different car all together I'm quite positive you would tell them to go get stuffed would you not?

Love it or hate it this is MY car ..... But thank you for your concern though, good lookin' out-

Oh and if I were gonna follow anyone to get a clue about how to track a dump truck I think I'd follow this guy LOL

.....Just sayin'.....

For street use you wouldn't notice a problem with them unless you're doing your best Dukes of Hazard imitation and launched your car in the air or decided to hit a ridiculous pot hole which would more than likely wreck any wheel you put on the car- But for track use and the repeated hard cornering and severe heating that the wheel will endure during hot lapping the car repeatedly may not fair to well with the XXR wheels and a hand full of others. A lot of it has to do with the way they're constructed, track wheels are generally rotary forged or cnc milled or in the case of the Fikse Profil 5's I have on my M3 - both...... the question you need to ask yourself is what are you using the car for and weather you want to spend the kind of money to get wheels strong enough to cope with the way you intend on using the car......

If it's any consolation I've been on my XXR's for a couple years now with no issues.......
